This blog is created for my personal use. I am just a beta tester for joeKnowledge, but I figure I could take it further. This is not really a resume for jobs to look through, but it still is a knowledgebase of my thoughts. WELCOME!

Hey sports fans. Hang on to your seats, today’s entry is a long one.

Today’s lesson is for the employers out there that think it’s not important to treat every candidate as if they were the hottest candidate they’d ever seen.

I had an interview with a company on Monday. At first I thought I'd name names. I have refrained from naming companies here for a variety of reasons. Dale Carnegie’s advice rings in my ears. In this case though, the experience was so bad that I feel compelled to write about it and to steer other potential candidates from their doors. Email me if you want to get the details.

I’ll start by saying that they declined to make an offer. Before you dismiss everything I say as sour grapes, read through the events and see if you think there isn’t at least a grain (or a whole wheat field ) of truth to what I wrote.

I looked back at the day Monday and wondered what might have gone wrong. It seemed to be a good fit to me and I am seldom that far off the mark. In considering some of the events, I wasn't very surprised that they decided not to make an offer. It seems as though they were not terribly serious about the interview process to begin with. I met with 6 people and half of them seemed put off that they had to take time to speak with me.

Funny, with a capital 'F'.
